Marvic Halcones Torrevieja have opened their national inline hockey campaign with four wins in five games across Élite Juvenil and Liga Plata Masculina, a combined record covering two of the club’s teams.
The youth side won both its matches, while the senior men recorded two victories and one defeat from their three fixtures.
Two wins for the youth team
In Élite Juvenil, Halcones beat CHL Jujol Jokers and Tres Cantos PC, their opponents in the first block of national league action of the season.
The match against Tres Cantos required the Torrevieja side to come from behind, turning the game around to finish with a victory.
The youth league’s opening event had been scheduled for Saturday 17 October at the Labegaraieta sports centre in Bergara, with Burdinola Irristaketa Kluba hosting.
The gathering was announced as bringing together six teams and more than 80 young athletes, with clubs from Madrid, Bilbao, Alicante and Barcelona.
Alongside Burdinola and the three sides involved in Halcones’ fixtures, the line-up also included Metropolitano HC and CDE Patinaje Línea Madrid.
The published schedule placed Marvic’s game against Jujol in the morning session and the meeting with Tres Cantos at the end of the day.
Two victories in the men’s silver league
The senior men beat Los Diablos de Mislata and Lostregos in their Liga Plata opening fixtures, contributing the other two victories to the Torrevieja club’s overall record.
Their only defeat came against Metropolitano HC, in a match described in the match report as evenly contested and decided by a narrow margin.
The youth comeback and the senior results belong to separate competitions: the perfect two-win record was achieved by the youth team, while the defeat occurred in the men’s silver league.
With this first block of fixtures completed, Marvic have begun the season’s national campaign with both their youth squad and their senior men’s side.
