A workshop to coordinate efforts

The Community Unit for the Prevention of Addictive Behaviours has brought together more than ten organisations from Torrevieja’s Intersectoral Health Committee for an activity focused on leisure. The workshop began on 14 October at the Centro Cultural Virgen del Carmen and was scheduled to finish on 15 October.

The programme’s framework

The initiative forms part of an addiction prevention programme in leisure settings coordinated by IREFREA and funded by the National Plan on Drugs. Public health councillor Rosa Cañón opened the activity, according to the council statement.

Work linked to the municipal plan

Its implementation in Torrevieja falls within the Municipal Plan on Drug Dependency and Other Addictive Behaviours 2026–2029. The report establishes that the meeting began and records the announced participation, but provides no evaluation of outcomes. It does not support attributing reduced consumption or other undocumented effects to the workshop.
