Torrevieja’s football teams have four league fixtures this Sunday, 25 October, with two home matches in the morning and two away trips in the afternoon for SC Torrevieja B and CD MC Los Ángeles.
Sporting Costablanca’s senior side will host Ontinyent 1931 CF at 11:30 at the Nelson Mandela stadium, while the women’s team play earlier, at 10:00, against UD Petrelense at the Gabriel Samper stadium.
Senior side without Héctor Pizana
Sporting Costablanca go into the match without first-choice goalkeeper Héctor Pizana, although almost all the rest of the squad are available for this fixture in front of their home supporters.
Ontinyent arrive in a very similar position in the league table to the Torrevieja side, who are looking to maintain their place in the more comfortable part of the standings.
A win would allow the hosts to retain a cushion over the more precarious positions in what is a closely contested table.
Women’s first home league match
The Gabriel Samper fixture will be Sporting Costablanca women’s first home league game of the season, following their defeat in Rojales.
The Torrevieja players will be seeking their first points of the campaign against UD Petrelense and looking to respond to their opening-round result in front of their own supporters.
Two away fixtures at the same time
In the afternoon, SC Torrevieja B will visit the San Isidro side at 17:00, aiming to get back to winning ways.
Their opponents have yet to pick up a point in the competition, while the reserve side will try to improve their league form with a positive result away from home.
At the same time, CD MC Los Ángeles will take on CF Rafal on the latter’s ground, another away trip for one of the Torrevieja teams.
The Rafal side have three points in the standings, and Los Ángeles will be looking for a favourable away result to continue making progress in the competition.
