Torrevieja will hold its fourth associations meeting on Friday 30 October at the Palacio de la Música, from 09:00 to 13:00, with a programme combining discussion between organisations, training on artificial intelligence and attention to the people who care for others.
The council’s department for NGOs and support for people with disabilities is organising this fourth edition to recognise local groups’ work and encourage cooperation between organisations that support residents.
Anyone interested in taking part can register through Torrevieja Town Hall’s electronic administration portal by submitting a general application, the procedure specified for requesting a place at the meeting.
A morning to share projects and experience
Registration collection is scheduled from 09:00 to 09:30; the mayor, Eduardo Dolón, will then open the event during the inauguration slot, which runs from 09:30 to 09:45.
The first opportunity for participation will be a discussion with Torrevieja associations from 09:45 to 10:30, followed by a coffee break lasting until 11:00.
The initiative aims to enable groups to exchange experience, explain their projects and establish new ways of working together to respond to residents’ needs.
That exchange forms part of the aim of raising the profile of local associations and their contribution to support, companionship and public participation in the town.
Artificial intelligence and a workshop with Yira Labrador
From 11:00 to 12:00, the morning’s training programme includes a session entitled “Primeros pasos con la IA: cuidarse para seguir cuidando” — first steps with AI: looking after yourself to keep caring for others.
The programme thus brings together useful tools for associations and the wellbeing of people who devote their time to providing support and companionship to others.
Psychotherapist Yira Labrador will then lead a training workshop from 12:00 to 13:00, before the closing session and the end of the meeting, scheduled for 13:00.
The event brings exchanges between organisations and training into a single morning, with cooperation between associations and care for the people who help others as the central themes of this fourth edition.
