The auditorium at Torrevieja’s Virgen del Carmen Cultural Centre hosted ‘Crimen a escena’ on Friday 30 October, a production that left the resolution of a theatrical investigation in the audience’s hands.

The show combined humour and mystery in a story set in the Blanco family mansion, where the characters offered their accounts of events and tried to dispel suspicions.

At the conclusion, spectators had to choose between six suspects and identified the fictional culprit as Federico Fortuna, played by Óscar Torregrosa.

Torregrosa directed the show and is president of Asociación Cultural Soul Dance Torrevieja; the cast included Sara Fernández as Sra. Blanco and Juan J. González as Inspector Armando Caso.

Dylan Torrico played Iago, Daria Berezka portrayed Gala and Eleanor Haggi appeared as Sol, as part of the cast bringing this participatory investigation to life.

The yellow room, serving as the gallery, featured Rosa M.ª Pérez as Artura Guardarte and M.ª Inmaculada Imbernón as Queli Escobedo.

In the blue room, the gym, Maite Vanderkluysen played Lola Gyménez and María Aniorte played M.ª del Karma; in the pink dressing room, Elena García was Margarita Puntada, ‘Margaret’, and Carlota Andreu was Clara Blanco.

Andrea Esteban portrayed Gisèle Varieté and Lucía Esteban played Consuelo Botella in the private club occupying the red room.

The green garden brought together Iván Quesada as Floren del Riego and Érika Cartagena as Flor del Riego, while the purple drawing room placed Daniela D. Gómez as Victoria Amorales alongside Federico Fortuna.

Set design, choreography and technical work

Direction of the set design and choreography was handled by María Aniorte, Iván Quesada and Andrea Esteban, who also took part as performers in the production.

Damián Bear and Marta Andreu were responsible for lighting and sound in a staging whose investigation came to an end with the audience’s verdict.
