A man was rescued and taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation after a fire at a home on Calle Joaquín Chapaprieta in Torrevieja in the early hours of Tuesday, 3 November.
Firefighters found him dazed but conscious inside the affected ground-floor property.

Crews from Torrevieja fire station attended, located the man and brought him out of the home.
Kitchen suffered the most damage
Initial information from Alicante’s provincial fire service points to a pan that may have been left on the heat as a possible cause of the fire.
The kitchen was the part of the home that sustained the most damage.
The man received treatment for smoke inhalation before being taken to hospital; the reported casualty total was one person injured.
Operation ended at 02:50
The response involved a heavy urban fire engine staffed by a corporal and four firefighters, and a command unit with a sergeant.
The operation ended at 02:50 that morning.
