Torrevieja is organising a cycle ride through its parks on Saturday 31 October, starting at 09:30 from Parque de las Naciones, where the route will also finish.

The council’s Parks and Gardens Department is organising the activity with Actúa under the name ‘Ruta en bici por los parques de Torrevieja – Autumn Edition’.

The ride will last approximately two hours and is intended as an outdoor leisure activity for residents and visitors, combining exercise with an opportunity to discover the town’s green spaces.

A route through different green spaces

The itinerary will pass through the area around the Municipal Cemetery, Parque de Doña Sinforosa, Parque de la Torre del Moro and Parque Aromático before returning to the starting point.

The initiative aims to bring residents closer to parks and gardens as places for social contact, leisure and enjoying nature, while also encouraging sustainable mobility and healthy habits.

Another aim is to introduce participants to Torrevieja’s green heritage and the conservation and maintenance work carried out in the municipality’s green spaces.

Registration and participation requirements

Places are limited, and registration will remain open until capacity is reached; anyone interested can request a place by emailing [email protected].

Each participant must bring their own bicycle, a helmet and water, the three items specified for taking part in the activity.

The event is open to people of all ages who can complete the route by bicycle or using adapted accessories; children must be accompanied by an adult.

Starting and finishing in the same park provides a single reference point for this two-hour activity, which will connect different parts of the municipality during Saturday morning.

The name ‘Autumn Edition’ refers to this first edition, launched with the intention of repeating the activity at different times of year and offering new routes to continue discovering Torrevieja’s parks and gardens.
