A grant to the town council

Alicante provincial council has approved €12,000 for Torrevieja towards neutering community cats. The town council announced the award on 14 October.

Which costs it covers

The municipal statement says the contribution will fund part of the cost of neutering unowned cats in urban colonies during 2026. It is not a direct grant to individuals for pet animals.

What the announcement does not specify

The statement gives neither the number of animals treated nor a further timetable of work. Nor does this report establish an application process for treatment. Operational queries should be directed to the responsible municipal service through its official channels.
