Pilar adds a 5K race to its half marathon on 8 November

Pilar de la Horadada is adding a five-kilometre race to its 15th half marathon, taking place on Sunday 8 November alongside the 10K event. The council’s Sports Department presents the new distance as an option for people who want to take up running.

All three races are scheduled to start at 09:30 in Calle Mayor and finish in Plaza de la Iglesia. Pilar de la Horadada Town Council’s Sports Department is organising the event.

Entries close on 3 November

The entry deadline is Tuesday 3 November 2026 at 23:59. The current fee is €16 for any of the three distances, and no new entries will be accepted on race day.

The regulations set a combined limit of 1,200 participants, which the organisers may adjust depending on how entries develop. This is the planned capacity, not the number of runners already registered.

Runners wishing to switch races also have until 3 November to request a change. Registration is through the form available on the official Pilar de la Horadada Half Marathon website.

Age requirements and course

Half marathon entrants must have turned 18 before race day. The 10K accepts runners from the age of 16 and the 5K from 14; under-18s need authorisation from their parent or guardian.

The urban course is mostly on asphalt, with a short concrete section inside a park. The half marathon covers two laps, while the 10K and 5K each cover one; the maximum finishing time is two and a half hours.

When to collect race numbers

Race numbers will be available at the municipal sports centre on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 November, from 09:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00. On Saturday 7 November, collection runs from 09:00 to 14:00.

They can also be collected at the start area on race day until 30 minutes before the start. An identity document is required; collecting another person’s number requires authorisation and identity documentation for both people.
