The Cofradía Gastronómica del Cocido con Pelotas will hold the first edition of its Cocido Reposado gathering in Torrevieja on Saturday 24 October 2026, with lunch beginning at 13:00.

The event will take place at the Cárnicas Ríos premises at 27 Calle Escultores Hermanos Blanco, with the full menu priced at €35 per person.

The programme brings together a meal of traditional cocido stew cooked over a wood fire, a selection of appetisers and a barbecue, with an afternoon programme of live music, dancing and entertainment beginning at 16:30.

What the menu includes

The meal will begin with an unlimited barbecue offering pork belly, spiced meat skewers, sausages, longaniza and chorizo, alongside a selection of appetisers.

These include Murcian-style ensaladilla, lettuce hearts with tomato and anchovy, Manchego cheese and sobrasada.

The meatball course will be served before the wood-fired cocido, with second helpings available; fruit and a miniature ice-cream cone will complete the meal.

The organisers are presenting this first gathering under the slogan “The flavour of authenticity… with time”, with traditional cooking and sharing a meal at the heart of the event.

Drinks included until dessert

The €35 price includes unlimited Faustino Rivero Ulecia wine, vermouth, water, soft drinks and beer until dessert, after which drinks will be charged separately.

After dessert, water will cost €1, soft drinks and beer €2, spirit-and-mixer drinks and gin and tonics €6, and mojitos €7.

The advertised selection of spirits for the event includes Martin Miller’s and Seagram’s, as well as Bacardí white rum and Brugal aged rum.

Children’s price and bookings

The organisers have announced a €10 price for children up to 1.40 metres tall, meaning the stated condition relates to height rather than to a particular age.

Bookings for the lunch can be made by calling 965 715 501.
