Torrevieja Carnival 2027 will run from 29 January to 21 February, with a programme combining galas at the Municipal Theatre and International Auditorium with parades through the town centre.
The calendar sets out the dates of the next edition’s main events, following the presentation of its elected representatives on 17 October.
Opening proclamation and coronations at the theatre
The opening is scheduled for Friday 29 January at 21:00, with the proclamation gala and presentation of the 2027 Escudo de Oro award at the Municipal Theatre; admission will cost €5.
The same venue will host the Carnival royalty’s coronation galas on Saturday 30 January, with sessions at 18:00 and 21:00 and tickets priced at €5.
The elected representatives are Irene Carazo Pinilla, from No Ni Ná, in the children’s category; Ares Franco Clemente, from Ciudad del Mar, as king; and Andrea Hernández González, from Agüica Salá, as senior queen.
Four parade events
Friday 5 February will begin with ‘El Carnaval de los Coles’, the children’s parade scheduled for 17:00 from the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Centre to Plaza de la Constitución.
At 20:30 that day, the fourth competitive parade for visiting carnival groups will set off from the cultural centre and follow Calle Ramón Gallud.
The main competitive parade will take place on Sunday 7 February from 16:00, also starting at Virgen del Carmen and following Ramón Gallud.
The night parade is scheduled for Saturday 13 February at 20:00, with the same starting point and the same street as its route.
Drag Queen gala, theatre and carnival singing
The International Auditorium will host the nineteenth ‘Ciudad de Torrevieja’ Drag Queen Gala on Saturday 6 February: the pre-gala party starts at 19:00 and the gala at 21:00, with tickets from €10.
‘Teatrico del Carnaval 2027’ will be staged on Sunday 14 February at 18:00 at the Municipal Theatre, with tickets costing €5.
The programme closes on Sunday 21 February at 18:00 at the International Auditorium with the ‘Ciudad de Torrevieja’ National Comparsas and Chirigotas Competition, with tickets starting at €10.
The organisers direct visitors to Cultura Torrevieja for ticket sales for the galas and competitions, and to the Carnival website for fuller details of the programme.
