Torrevieja will celebrate Halloween with a Thriller-inspired parade on Saturday 31 October at 19:00, starting at the Centro Cultural Virgen del Carmen and finishing in Plaza de la Constitución.

The event will combine music, dancing and horror characters along its route through the town centre, with anyone wishing to take part in costume welcome to join the procession.

Plaza de la Constitución, where the parade ends, will have a special Halloween setting to accompany the celebration taking place on Saturday evening in the centre of Torrevieja.

Two close-up magic performances

The weekend will also feature AQUELARRE, a show by El Brujo de Torrevieja, at La Cueva de Melpómene, located at 42 Avenida Doctor Gregorio Marañón.

One performance is scheduled for Saturday 31 October and another for Sunday 1 November, both starting at 20:00 and each with a maximum audience of 26 people.

The recommended age is nine and above, for a close-up magic show presented in an intimate format that places the performance in close proximity to its audience.

The show combines illusion, spiritualist stories, ancient Inca rituals and paranormal phenomena as elements of its stage performance for these two Halloween nights in Torrevieja.

The parade and AQUELARRE performances are separate activities: the former follows a route through the town centre, while the magic show takes place inside a venue with limited capacity.

More activities around town

Paseo del Mar will also host a Halloween celebration on 31 October, with activities running continuously from 10:00 until 22:00 throughout the day.

These events will be complemented by special activities and themed decorations at the Habaneras shopping centre during Halloween week.

AQUELARRE is presented as a new show by El Brujo de Torrevieja, who will act as master of ceremonies and invite the small group of spectators to take part in a dark magic session.

The spiritualist stories in the production draw on nineteenth-century Europe, one of the references accompanying the Inca rituals in this theatrical experience of mystery created for Halloween.
