The schooner Pascual Flores is opening every day of the week from 26 October in Torrevieja harbour, with visiting hours from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 15:00 to 19:00.

The extended opening brings daily guided tours in Spanish and English, alongside an autumn programme featuring maritime knot workshops, a children’s painting competition and an escape room aboard the vessel.

Four guided departures every day

English-language tours are scheduled for 11:00 and 17:00, while Spanish-language tours take place at 12:00 and 18:00, with the same arrangements applying on weekdays and at weekends.

The crew accompany visitors around the decks, the helm area and the old holds, explaining life aboard and sailing practices in the early years of the twentieth century.

The route also explores the history of the vessel, originally built in 1917, and its connection with the salt trade and exports across the Mediterranean and to the African continent.

Painting on Wednesday, mystery on Saturday

A children’s painting competition focusing on the boat and Torrevieja harbour will take place on Wednesday 28 October at 12:00, following the guided tour.

Children must first take part in the guided visit to enter the competition, whose winner will receive a surprise package from Pascual Flores.

On Saturday 31 October, there will be two sessions of “El Enigma del Oro Blanco”, at 12:00 and 17:00, with limited places and the activity conducted exclusively in Spanish.

The escape room offers a 60-minute challenge set in 1917, with participants becoming a new crew and searching for the captain’s navigation permits aboard the boat.

The planned tasks include uncovering messages using ultraviolet light, exploring corners of the vessel and operating its original bilge pump as part of the challenge.

On Saturdays and Sundays, the guided tours at 11:00 and 12:00 include practical knot workshops on deck, with both children and adults invited to learn the techniques.

The new programme therefore combines ordinary access to the schooner with specific activities exploring maritime history, practical skills and games during the final week of October.
