Los Montesinos opens entries for races and walk opposing violence against women

Los Montesinos will hold its 15th edition of the 5K and 10K races and solidarity walk on Sunday 22 November 2026, with the sporting event once again carrying a message opposing violence against women.

The start is scheduled for 10am, with both the start and finish in Plaza del Ayuntamiento on Avenida de la Marquesa, and entries are already open with a limited number of race places available.

Three ways to take part

The programme offers a choice between a five-kilometre race, completed over one lap, and a ten-kilometre race, for which runners will complete two laps of the course.

People who prefer to walk can join the five-kilometre solidarity walk, an alternative to the two competitive distances that forms part of the same day of activities in the town.

Free children’s races will take place after the ten-kilometre event, ensuring that the programme also includes a separate opportunity for the youngest participants to join in the sporting activities.

Entry costs €13 for the 5K and 10K races and for the solidarity walk, with a limited number of places available in each of these three options.

Entries and arrangements for participants

To complete an entry, the council’s events calendar directs participants to the Alcanza tu meta platform, which provides access to registration for this edition of the event.

Participants will receive a technical T-shirt and a Caja Rural backpack, while refreshments will be provided after the finish and the traditional giant tortilla will once again be prepared for those taking part.

The event is organised by Los Montesinos Council’s Sports Department, which identifies this gathering as its fourth athletics meeting of 2026 in the municipality.

Sports councillor Ana Belén Juárez has encouraged both residents of Los Montesinos and runners from neighbouring towns to take part in the event.

Alongside the different sporting options, the 15th edition retains an awareness-raising purpose and a rejection of violence against women, expressed in the Spanish slogan accompanying the event, «Contra las Violencias Machistas».
