Amparo Cos Boj will deliver the opening address for Torrevieja’s patron saint festivities on Sunday 15 November at 12:45 in the Iglesia Arciprestal de la Inmaculada, with a performance by the Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra’s chamber ensemble.
The town has presented the poster and 2026 religious programme in honour of the Purísima, with the floral offering on 5 December and the procession on 8 December among its main events.
Festival address and charity market in November
Before the address on 15 November, a Mass at 11:00 will include the admission ceremony and presentation of medals to new members of Hijos de la Inmaculada, with the Manuel Barberá choir taking part.
A fellowship lunch honouring the speaker will take place at Las Columnas at 14:30, with limited places and bookings through members of the association.
On Sunday 22 November, from 09:00 to 13:30, the church’s Patio de Poniente will host a food and Christmas market supporting the projects of the Real Asociación Hijos de la Inmaculada.
Floral offering starts near Sagrado Corazón
The Magna Ofrenda Floral will begin on Saturday 5 December at 17:00 near the Templo del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, reaching the Iglesia Arciprestal de la Inmaculada via Moriones and Caballero de Rodas.
Associations and community groups can take part by registering beforehand with the council’s festivals department; organisers recommend mainly white flowers and also welcome arrangements and baskets for subsequent display.
At 10:00 that day, young people from the parish catechism group will organise the “Una Navidad Compartida” charity coin line at the corner of Concepción and Fotógrafos Darblade.
Procession on 8 December after Mass
The Solemne y Magna Procesión de la Purísima will leave on Tuesday 8 December following the 18:30 Mass, accompanied by Los Salerosos and Unión Musical Torrevejense.
The route will take in Plaza de la Constitución, Caballero de Rodas, Clemente Gosálvez, Vista Alegre, Joaquín Chapaprieta, Vicente Blasco Ibáñez and Azorín before returning to the square.
Religious observances will conclude on Wednesday 9 December at 19:30 with a Mass of Thanksgiving, sung by the Coro Arciprestal de la Parroquia de la Inmaculada, with Belén Puente as soloist.
