Guardamar del Segura launches its Tapas con Historia 2026 trail this Friday, 30 October, with dishes from thirteen venues and a price of four euros for a tapa and drink until 8 November.
This year’s theme is ‘James II’s stay in Guardamar (1296)’, bringing together the offer from bars and restaurants in a food trail inspired by the town’s heritage and history.
The promotional price includes one tapa and a 200 ml bottle of beer, a soft drink or an equivalent beverage, according to the trail poster, which also advertises information and voting through the Gastroguardamar platform.
Thirteen dishes to choose from
The dishes include ‘Huevo de Babieca’ from Restaurante La Cañada, ‘La Guatlla Real’ from Alla Trattoria and ‘El Bocado de Jaime II’ from CB Brunch, three individually named options within the historical theme.
Restaurante Papas Sur is taking part with ‘El Secreto de Guardamar’, Candalacho presents ‘Marihabicas’ and Restaurante La Brújula offers ‘De Buen Rollo’.
La Bicicleta Tapería contributes ‘Dulce con Ave’, while Restaurante Club Náutico proposes ‘Carne mechada con cítricos de naranja y miel’; Hotel Guardamar adds ‘El Baluarte de las Dos Coronas’.
The poster also lists ‘Otoño de Pasión’ from El Club, fried sardine in escabeche on seaweed bread toast from Origen, and pork tenderloin brioche with truffle mayonnaise and mushrooms from Taberna La Maka.
The thirteenth dish is ‘La Corona Caprina’ from Tapeo & Spritz, which is located at Calle Ingeniero Mira, 12.
Stops across the town
The poster places several stops on Avenida de los Pinos: La Cañada is at number 26, while Candalacho and Taberna La Maka are both listed at number 58.
Other listed addresses include Calle Brasil, 8, for Alla Trattoria; Avenida Libertad, 68, for CB Brunch; and Calle Mediterráneo, 13, for La Brújula.
The event runs over ten days, giving visitors the opportunity to make their way around the participating venues and vote for their favourite tapa, combining local food with the historical theme chosen for this edition.
