Torrevieja’s five best neighbourhoods, meaning here the most expensive areas in which to buy a home, are led by Punta Prima according to Idealista’s September 2026 figures.
This is not a quality-of-life ranking: the measure is the asking price per square metre of homes advertised for sale, rather than the amount paid in completed transactions.
The comparison ranks the nine areas in the municipal report and retains the portal’s names, which should not be confused with official administrative neighbourhoods.
The overall figure for Torrevieja is €2,561/m², below each of the five areas listed here.
1. Punta Prima: €3,240/m²

Punta Prima takes first place at €3,240/m² and is the only area in the table above €3,000 per square metre.
Its figure is 26.5% above the municipal benchmark and €308/m² ahead of second-placed La Mata.
2. La Mata: €2,932/m²

La Mata ranks second at €2,932/m², which is 14.5% above the overall figure for Torrevieja.
Its lead over Playa de los Locos is just €24/m², a much smaller gap than the one separating the top two positions.
3. Playa de los Locos: €2,908/m²

Playa de los Locos completes the top three at €2,908/m², standing 13.5% above the municipal benchmark.
It sits between La Mata and Los Balcones – Los Altos del Edén, with a €17/m² lead over the latter area.
4. Los Balcones – Los Altos del Edén: €2,891/m²

Los Balcones – Los Altos del Edén is fourth at €2,891/m², 12.9% above the municipal figure.
The number covers Idealista’s combined area and does not provide a separate price for each of the places included in its name.
5. Nueva Torrevieja – Aguas Nuevas: €2,770/m²

Nueva Torrevieja – Aguas Nuevas completes the selection at €2,770/m², 8.2% above Torrevieja’s benchmark.
The gap between this fifth position and Punta Prima is €470/m²; the report’s combined area name is retained here too.
Outside the top five are El Acequión – Los Náufragos at €2,399/m²; La Siesta – El Salado – Torreta at €2,380; Playa del Cura at €2,376; and Centro at €2,158.
The prices allow a comparison of advertised homes within the same month, but the table alone neither explains the reasons for the differences nor describes every available property.
More expensive does not mean better for everyone: budget, everyday needs and the features of an individual property remain central to deciding where to live.
