ComarCON will hold its 2027 edition on 27 and 28 March at the Tavi y Carmona sports hall in Torrevieja, with free admission subject to capacity.

The announcement for the 13th alternative leisure gathering appears in the programme of the University of Alicante’s Torrevieja centre, which has shared the dates and the event poster.

The gathering will bring together board games, role-playing games, video games, tournaments, workshops and artists’ stalls, alongside other activities associated with geek culture.

Organisers include the La Comarca youth leisure association, the University of Alicante and its Torrevieja centre, the youth department and the town council.

Free admission and limited activity places

The organisers’ practical information distinguishes free access to the venue from participation in certain activities, which may involve a charge for the materials used or similar costs.

Payment is made immediately before an activity begins, so free admission does not mean that every workshop is free of charge for those taking part.

Registration takes place at the information desk in two sessions: from 10am for morning activities and from 3pm for those taking place in the afternoon.

After queuing, each person may register only themselves; booking a place for a friend through the same registration is not permitted under the event’s arrangements.

The organisers also warn that arriving late may mean a place is given to someone on the waiting list who has attended at the scheduled start time.

Practical advice for visiting the sports hall

The sports hall is on Avenida Monge y Bielsa, without a street number, and there are free parking areas around the venue for people travelling there.

The event guide says there are no cash machines inside, although most exhibitors accept card payments, and recommends bringing some cash as well when visiting.

Cosplay accessories made from materials such as wood, plastic, cork or cardboard are allowed provided they pose no danger; metal weapons and airsoft guns are prohibited.

Eating inside the sports hall is restricted to the cafeteria, another of the practical instructions for visitors planning to attend the two-day alternative leisure gathering.
