The Geli Albaladejo Theatre in San Pedro del Pinatar will host the family show BEEE!, by Catalan company DeLiRi, at 12:00 on Sunday 15 November as part of the 25th Titeremurcia International Festival.
Tickets cost €3 and are already on sale through the municipal website, the usual ticket outlets and the festival’s official website.
The production brings together puppets and actors, allowing the municipality to take part once again as a host venue for the Region of Murcia’s international puppet festival.
A sheep and an elderly couple’s last coin
The story follows an elderly couple living in the countryside who have barely enough resources to eat, a situation that provides the starting point for the tale.
With the last coin they have left, the central characters decide to buy a sheep, the element around which the DeLiRi company’s production develops.
The show is presented as a tribute to wisdom and the memory of traditional trades, as well as the values associated with living in a natural, rural environment.
A quarter of a century of Titeremurcia
The San Pedro del Pinatar performance forms part of the edition marking the festival’s 25th anniversary, with a programme that adds new municipalities and activities alongside its main shows.
The regional programme brings together 70 activities and 28 different productions in 40 venues across the Region of Murcia; those figures apply to the festival as a whole, not just San Pedro del Pinatar.
Three international companies from Canada, Italy and Colombia are taking part, alongside six national companies and a further six regional companies contributing to this edition’s programme.
Culture councillor Carmen María López attended the official presentation of the programme, which once again includes the Geli Albaladejo Theatre among its venues.
For audiences in San Pedro del Pinatar, the announced date is the BEEE! performance at midday on 15 November, with tickets priced at €3.
The council lists 968 18 06 00 as its general contact telephone number and provides in-person public assistance at Plaza Luis Molina, 1, from Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 14:00.
