Torrevieja opens applications for its 2026 sports grants on Friday 30 October, with a total funding allocation of €65,000 and a submission period ending on 12 November.

The Sports Department’s grants aim to support local athletes’ preparation, encourage them to remain with clubs in the municipality and recognise their results in competitions held within the federation system.

A summary of the call was published on 29 October in issue 206 of Alicante’s official provincial bulletin, setting an application period of ten working days from 30 October.

Which achievements count

The scheme recognises sporting achievements from the 2025/2026 season, covering the period between 1 September 2025 and 31 August 2026.

Results in regional, national, European and world championships will be assessed, alongside those in the Olympic Games, within officially recognised sporting disciplines.

Individual non-professional athletes in the infantil, cadete, juvenil, junior and senior categories can apply, with a general maximum age of 35, covering those born in 1991 or later.

The age limit does not apply to athletes with a recognised disability of at least 33%, or to those demonstrating national or international achievements in Olympic sports, under the scheme’s rules.

For the local connection requirement, the call provides for membership of Torrevieja clubs during the past three seasons or registration on the city’s population register, subject to the specified conditions.

Documents and submission routes

The application must be accompanied by the required supporting documents and a certificate from the relevant federation confirming the sporting achievements put forward.

Applications can be processed through the council’s electronic office; in-person submission is also provided for at the municipal registry office at Plaza de la Constitución, 2.

A further submission point is the offices of the Tavi y Carmona sports centre, on Avenida Monge y Bielsa, with no street number.

The full rules and official forms are available through the electronic office’s noticeboard, municipal information channels and Spain’s national subsidies database, where this call has the reference BDNS 936014.
