Lucía Pertusa, from Orihuela, and her fellow student Carmen Ballester have won the silver medal in the Young Digital Talent category at the Inspirational 2026 awards with their campaign «Nacidxs para ser únicxs».
Both are in the third year of the Advertising and Public Relations degree at the University of Alicante, and developed their project for Burger King.
The award places their entry second in a category sponsored by that brand, which attracted 106 pairs of young creatives from universities and schools across Spain.
An award winner with ties to Orihuela
Pertusa attended Colegio del Carmen and played basketball at Orihuela’s municipal sports schools, two stages in her background that connect her with the city.
The University of Alicante has celebrated its two students’ award through its official channels, highlighting their talent and the result achieved in this national competition.
The Young Digital Talent category aims to discover, support and raise the profile of emerging creative talent in the digital field.
Gold went to «Si es Top, es Whop», by Btissam Ennouri and Nerea Muñoz, students at Universitat Jaume I.
Third prize was awarded to «Es lo que hay», by Ángel Eduardo Magallanes and Hugo Botet, who also study at the university in Castellón.
An edition attracting 301 campaigns
The awards ceremony took place at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, bringing to a close the Inspirational event organised by IAB Spain.
The nineteenth edition received 301 campaign entries and had 103 finalist projects, across eighteen categories covering advertising, marketing, brand strategy, entertainment and digital communication.
The Inspirational 2026 Grand Prix went to «Sosegá – el palo sin prisa», created by LLYC for Cervezas Alhambra.
Fuego Camina Conmigo and McCann were recognised as Agencies of the Year, while Movistar received the Advertiser of the Year distinction.
The students’ achievement places the University of Alicante among the higher education institutions recognised at this edition of the awards for their students’ work.
