Servigroup Benidorm and Altea will return to basketball competition on Saturday 24 October, with the two sides each scheduled to play at home in their respective leagues, following last week’s interruption caused by the effects of storm Adam.

Benidorm will host Ontinet at 19:30 in Tercera FEB, while Altea face Elche at 18:30 in the men’s Primera División competition.

Benidorm face opponents sharing their position

Servigroup Benidorm approach the fixture with two wins from their two matches played, having beaten Jorge Juan and Alginet at the start of the league season.

The team coached by Nico Sánchez share second place with Ontinet, behind Sueca, who were able to play last week.

The meeting therefore brings together two teams level in a table that remains closely contested during these opening rounds of the competition.

Altea seek to extend their winning start

Altea also have two victories from as many rounds in the men’s Primera División, as do Terralfàs, and are following leaders Onil, who have played one more game.

The Altea side will again play at home against Elche after having comfortably beaten Villena 76–42 on their own court.

Terralfàs, meanwhile, travel to Montemar on Saturday for a 20:00 fixture; they won 88–108 away at Gandía in their league opener.

Terralfàs women also start their season

The regional schedule includes the season debut of the Terralfàs women’s Primera División team, planned for Saturday at 20:30 against Jairis at the Pau Gasol sports hall.

The team coached by Mª Carmen Burgos should have started the competition the previous Sunday against Molina, but the storm prevented that opening match from taking place.

The round brings four fixtures for these Marina Baixa teams, with Benidorm and Altea’s home games offering local Saturday matches as competitive activity returns after the weather-related interruption.
