Brisa won the combined ORC A-B standings in the Restaurante El Muelle regatta, organised by Real Club Náutico Torrevieja on Saturday 31 October.
The event brought close to twenty participants to Torrevieja’s waters, with a nine-mile course for all classes.
Class winners
As well as topping the combined ORC A-B standings, Brisa took first place in ORC B.
Slick won ORC A, while Tumbaíto finished first in Division 2.
The day began with light offshore winds that shifted easterly during the morning and eventually strengthened to more than twelve knots.
Remembering the victims
Before the warning signal, participants observed a minute’s silence on the water as a mark of mourning for the victims of the railway accident.
After racing, the programme continued with a shared lunch at Restaurante El Muelle in Torrevieja, the establishment that gives the regatta its name.
