Torrevieja’s Conservatorio Profesional de Música Francisco Casanovas has announced its programme for the first term of the 2026–2027 academic year, featuring recitals, the Young Talents Competition and Saint Cecilia and Christmas concerts.

Admission will be free, subject to capacity, and events will take place at the Palacio de la Música unless a different venue is specifically listed.

Opening dates and the Young Talents Competition

The calendar begins on 27 October with a brass recital at 19:30, followed on 29 October by participation in Torrevieja’s first Health Fair at the International Auditorium.

November’s programme opens with a saxophone recital on the 3rd at 19:30, ahead of the semi-finals of the Francisco Casanovas Young Talents Competition.

The semi-finals are scheduled for 6 November in three sessions, at 17:00, 18:00 and 19:30; the final will take place on 8 November at 11:30.

Saint Cecilia brings students and teachers together

On 16 November at 19:30, a flute ensemble from the conservatoires of Torrevieja, Almoradí and Orihuela will perform as part of the Saint Cecilia events.

A teachers’ and students’ concert follows on the 17th, with “Resonancias: un viaje entre música y bienestar”, featuring Lola Cases, on the 18th; both start at 19:30.

The conservatoire’s band and orchestra will perform on 19 November at 19:30 at the Centro Cultural Virgen del Carmen.

The calendar also includes “Don Quijote llega al puerto”, part of Música en la Calle, on 21 November at 12:00 at the Centro de Ocio Paseo del Mar.

Recitals and concerts to round off December

December will feature chamber music, violin, cello, guitar, piano, percussion, brass, woodwind and saxophone recitals, alongside Christmas events at various venues.

The flute ensemble will give concerts at the Real Club Náutico on 10 December at 19:30 and at the Inmaculada parish church on the 16th at 20:00.

The programme will conclude on 21 December at 19:30 with a Christmas recital by the choir class.
